At the Waterbird Habitat Project, we know that safeguarding our rivers and the wildlife that depend on them is a community effort. One of our most dedicated partners in this mission is Emigh Ace Hardware, a family-owned business that has been serving Sacramento since 1908.

Over the past year, Dennis and the team at Emigh’s have gone above and beyond to support our work. They’ve generously donated their time, tools, and expertise to mount and repair informational signs we place in County Parks—signs that remind anglers to properly dispose of fishing line and help protect birds and other wildlife from fatal injuries. When signs are vandalized or damaged, Emigh’s is ready to help restore them, never asking for anything in return.

This kind of grassroots support is essential to what we do. While we focus on removing harmful fishing gear from local waterways and restoring habitat, it’s the commitment of community partners like Emigh Ace Hardware that helps amplify our impact.

We’re incredibly grateful to Dennis and the entire Emigh team. Your generosity and dedication are helping to create a safer, healthier environment for wildlife along the American River and beyond.
