Second Saturdays on the Water Launches July 11
Join us on the second Saturday of each month for Second Saturdays on the Water! Starting July 11, we’ll remove fishing gear from the American River and local ponds using kayaks, paddleboards, and magnet fishing from shore.
Harrington to Watt Saturday, July 11.
We’ll grab gear along the edges of the river from kayaks and paddleboards, using rakes and grabbers. Putt in at the Harrington Access at 9 AM and taking out at Watt Avenue. Those who prefer to stay on shore can toss magnets from the bank.
Bring your own kayak or paddleboard, or just come ready to magnet fish from shore. It’s a relaxed morning with a real impact for local wildlife.
Safety first — lifejackets are required at all times. Please bring sun protection (hat, glasses, pullover, or sunscreen), along with water and snacks. Wear gloves and bring grabbers and a bag for gear.
